Terms of Use
The short agreement.
Written to be read, not to be scrolled past. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we'll explain it — that's a better outcome for both of us than you agreeing to something you didn't follow.

Who you're dealing with
SucreSage is made and operated by Dragonfly Software Farm LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company. "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means whoever is using the app.
Using SucreSage means you accept what's on this page. If you don't, the honest answer is not to use it.
What SucreSage is — and isn't
SucreSage helps you notice how much added sugar you eat. It is a noticing tool, and nothing more than that.
It is not medical advice, and it is not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose anything, treat anything, or tell you what you should eat. Talk to your doctor about what's right for you, particularly if you're pregnant, diabetic, managing any condition, or taking anything that interacts with what you eat. Never put off asking a professional because of something an app showed you.
The numbers are estimates, and some of them are ours. Roughly a quarter of the foods in the catalogue report their added sugar directly. For most of the rest, SucreSage works out a figure from the ingredients and the total sugar, and it labels which kind of figure you're looking at. Photo scanning and the assistant are estimates too, and are marked as such. We've worked hard to make them reasonable, and they will still be wrong sometimes. Where a figure matters to you, read the label.
SucreSage is for adults, 18 and over.
Your account
You need an account, and you're responsible for keeping its password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
Don't use SucreSage to break the law, to try to reach other people's accounts, to pull our catalogue out in bulk, or to attack the service. We can close an account that's doing any of that.
You can delete your account from inside the app, at any time, and it takes everything logged under it with it. See the privacy policy.
What you log belongs to you
The foods you record are yours. We store them so the app can show them back to you, and we don't sell them or hand them to anyone else. The app itself — its design, its writing, its code, its estimates — stays ours.
Premium
Everything in SucreSage is free except three things: setting your own daily goal instead of the default, logging a food from a photo, and the assistant. Those are SucreSage Premium.
Price. $19.99 a month, or $79.99 a year — which works out at $6.67 a month, a third of the monthly price. Whichever you pick, the price you pay is the one shown on the purchase screen in the app.
It renews by itself. A subscription continues at the same price, for the same length of period, until you cancel it. Apple charges your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, and again at the start of each new period. Cancel at least 24 hours before a period ends, or that next period is charged.
How to cancel. On your iPhone: Settings, your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next charge; Premium keeps working until the period you've already paid for runs out. We can't cancel it for you — only Apple can, because only Apple ever handled your money.
Refunds. Purchases go through Apple, so refunds are Apple's to give. Ask through reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app went wrong, write to us as well — we'd rather know.
If the price changes, we'll tell you first, and Apple will ask you to agree before charging you more. Saying no just ends the subscription at the end of its period.
Things we can't promise
We aim to keep SucreSage running and correct, and we can't guarantee either. The service is provided as it is. We don't promise it will be available without interruption, or that every figure in it is accurate.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don't allow limits like that, in which case they don't apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for our own fraud, or for anything the law says can't be limited.
Ending it
You can stop using SucreSage whenever you want, and delete your account in the app. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop running the service — and if we ever do stop, we'll give you notice and a way to take your data with you.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. If a change actually affects you, we'll say so in the app rather than hoping you re-read this page.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here takes away consumer rights you have where you live that can't be signed away.
Apple
Apple isn't a party to this agreement and isn't responsible for SucreSage. Apple has no obligation to support the app. If the app doesn't do what it should, you can tell Apple and ask for a refund of the purchase price — beyond that, any claim about the app is ours to answer, not theirs. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce this paragraph.
