What we keep, and what we don't.

SucreSage is a place to notice what you eat. That only works if you trust it with the answer, so here is exactly what we hold, who else sees it, and how to take it all back.

The short version

What we collect

Your account. Your email address, and your password stored as a scrambled value we can't read or reverse. If you sign in, that's all an account is.

What you log. The name of each food, its added sugar in grams, the date, and calories or protein when those are known. That's the record the app is for.

Your settings. A daily goal if you set one, your reminder time, how you want to be reminded, and your phone's time zone so the reminder arrives at the right hour.

The optional questions. If you answered "A little about you" — why you're using SucreSage, where sugar tends to turn up for you, and so on — those answers are stored with your account. Every one is optional, and you can change or clear them on Profile.

How often you use the AI features. A count, so monthly limits work. Not the content of what you asked, unless you report an answer (below).

What we don't collect

No location. No contacts. No health data from Apple Health or anywhere else. No advertising identifiers. No analytics of any kind — we can't see which screens you visit or how long you stay. This site sets no cookies.

The assistant and photo scanning

These two features send information to Anthropic, the maker of the AI model SucreSage uses, because that's where the answer comes from.

When you ask the assistant a question, we send your question, the conversation so far, and a short summary of your day — today's foods, this week's total, your streak, and your optional answers — so the reply fits your situation rather than being generic.

When you scan a photo, the photo is sent so it can be identified — and if you correct a guess ("Not right? Tell us what it is"), the words you type go with it. We don't keep the photo: it passes through and is gone. Under Anthropic's business terms, what we send is used to answer the request, not to train their models.

If you never use those two features, nothing you log ever leaves our systems.

If you report an answer. Every assistant answer and photo result has a Report link. If you use it, we keep that one answer and the question you asked — for a photo, the AI's guess, never the photo — with your reason and anything you add, so we can look into it. It's the only time we keep what the assistant said, and reports are deleted with your account.

Email

Password resets and daily reminders are sent through Amazon's email service. Every reminder has a one-tap link to turn reminders off, and you can switch them off on Profile at any time.

Payments

If you subscribe to Premium, Apple or Google handles the payment. We never see your card details. We're told only whether your subscription is active, through RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions on our behalf.

Where it lives

On Amazon Web Services in the United States, in a database only SucreSage's own systems can reach. Connections to the app are encrypted.

Deleting it

Profile → Delete account removes your account and everything logged under it. It isn't a "mark as deleted" — the rows are gone, and we can't get them back for you afterwards.

If you joined the waiting list before launch, we hold only your email address. Email us and we'll remove it.

Adults

SucreSage is for adults, 18 and over. It isn't designed for children, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. We'll tell you in the app if the change is one you'd want to know about.
